What happened ?

The circlips that hold the pinions to the pinion shaft came of. Don't ask me why or how - but it made a big bang...
After the bang the car was driven (though not that fast) ca. 25 km to the garage and I installed another used transmission - it worked fine on this trip but did make unusual noises ;-).
